JN Pierce Award for Media Excellence

The JN Pierce Award for excellence in journalism is named in honour of John “JN” Pierce, a leading Australian resources writer who worked for several national papers.

The JN Pierce Award recognises excellence in journalism covering the upstream petroleum industry. It is open to all forms of media – a print, television, radio and online. Selection criteria include newsworthiness, accuracy in research, ethics, public benefit, and flair, creativity and excellence of writing.
