The Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) looks forward to contributing to the Queensland Government’s 30-year ResourcesQ initiative to drive resources investment and jobs in the state.

APPEA Chief Operating Officer Paul Fennelly said: “Extraordinary progress has been made in Queensland as the gas industry moves to complete almost $70 billion worth of LNG projects that will soon deliver cleaner energy to the world.

“While NSW and Victoria continue to struggle with developing their own resources, the Queensland Government is setting a benchmark in planning for the future.

“There are many challenges ahead if the state is to secure further investment amid growing resources competition overseas.

“As such, APPEA is pleased to form part of the government’s ResourcesQ Partnership Group to map out a strategic pathway that seeks to address sliding competitiveness and secure global investment.”
